Jazz in the Treasure Valley (Boise area)
Live Jazz and Free Wine Tasting on Tuesday Nights through July at Seasons Bistro / Wine Bar, 1117 E. Winding Creek, Ste 150, Eagle Idaho. The events are from 6-8 pm. Reservations are suggested. Call 939-6680.
The Kings of Swing, (the band led by the late Gib Hochstrasser for many years) will perform at a special dedication concert to honor the memory of Gib and to dedicate a new memorial. This is tentaively being planned for the afternoon of Sunday, September 13 just outside the Morrison Center on the green belt side in the new patio area. Stay tuned for final details including the time. The public is invited at no charge.
Jazz in the Magic Valley (Twin Falls area)
Pandora's restaurant (516 Hansen) features jazz sessions on weekends hosted by the Great Riff Jazz Trio. Friday and Saturday nights from 7 - 10 pm. They sometimes have jazz other evenings as well.

Jazz in the Wood River Valley (Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey area)
Announcing Jazz in the Park, a FREE series on Sunday evenings from 6-8 pm at Ketchum's Rotary Park (Warm Springs Road by the Wood River). No drinks will be sold, so please bring picnics and low back chairs. Presented by the Idaho Jazz Society and Dayle Fowler with help from the Sun Valley / Ketchum Chamber and Visitors Bureau

New CD by Emily Braden
Emily Braden, an Idaho native now in Victoria, BC announces the release of her new CD, Soul Walk at the Victoria Jazz Festival on Tuesday, June 30. Emily became a favorite of many of us when she was the headliner of the special IJS concert in December 2008 as a fund-raiser for the Gib Hochstrasser memorial.
