The Blue Door Cafe is the Treasure Valley's first and only dedicated jazz club/restaurant, and a new IJS business sponsor. They feature live music nightly, with Thursday-Saturday dedicated to live jazz. The house band, the Blue Door Four, features Kobie Watkins (drums), Clark Sommers (bass), Justin Nielsen (piano) and Jeff Baker (vocal) and frequently other guest musicians. Talented, student musicians, Arts West Live, perform Thursdays with the Blue Door Four. The cafe has a delicious selection of entrees, Garbonzo's pizza, homemade desserts, and an impressive beer and wine selection. They are two miles west of Eagle road at 3300 W.
